YGO Fine Art Studio

What is an YGO Fine Art Giclée?

Giclée (pronounced Zhee-clay) is the French word for spurt or squirt, used to describe the inkjet printing process. We use the Epson Stylus® Pro 9600 wide format printer, which allows the continuous flow of ink that gives the smooth gradation of color tone necessary for the accurate reproduction of fine art. First, 4" x 5" photographic transparencies of the original artwork are drum scanned at high resolution (about 5000 dpi). The resulting digital images are edited in Adobe Photoshop to achieve optimal color correction, contrast and brightness. Then the images are custom sized for printing and the prints are made to order. We use Epson UltraChrome™ ink and print on PremierArt™ Water Resistant Canvas at 2,880 x 1,440 dpi. This combination of acid free, archival canvas and UltraChrome ink is rated for at least 200 years. We can also print on acid free, archival, Somerset® Velvet paper on request.

Your YGO Fine Art Giclée will be approved, numbered and signed by the artist, insuring quality control and authenticity.
